If you are newly a patient of Best Friends Animal Hospital, welcome to our veterinary hospital from all of us here. We invite you to learn more about our veterinarian in Winnipeg and the services we offer, so you can take the best care of your companion animal.
Our veterinarian in Winnipeg provides routine pet care for small animals. We see not just dogs and cats, but also rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, amphibians, birds, ferrets and exotic pets! Wellness exams help your small animal stay healthy year round, and may include vaccinations that protect your pet from harmful diseases.
We are happy to address obesity, diet, and behavioral issues to help your pet enjoy a high quality of life.
If you wish to protect your pet from getting lost, we are happy to implant a microchip. These devices can be scanned by animal shelter staff, who can then contact you to let you know your pet was found.
We offer several surgical services, including spay and neuter, orthopedic surgery, pet dentistry, and anesthesia for pain control. If your pet needs surgery, we will schedule a no-cost exam first, where our veterinarian in Winnipeg will let you know what to expect.
At Best Friends Animal Hospital, we have been taking care of your pets for the last 14 years. This experience with dogs, cats, small animals, and exotics, makes our staff qualified to address your pets' health needs and to help you provide high-quality pet care through sound nutrition, exercise, and play.
We have three veterinarians on staff. Dr. Jill Tait, DVM, joined us in 2010 and loves helping pet owners foster relationships with their pets. Dr. Manjit Sra founded our animal hospital and enjoys urgent care services. Dr. Drain, our newest vet, loves caring for your pets.
When you enter our pet care clinic, you'll be greeted by our warm from desk staff. Our clean and comfortable waiting area is stocked with special pet foods, medications, flea and tick topical medicine, heartworm pills, and much more.
You and your animal will be shown into an exam room as soon as one becomes available. Our veterinarian in Winnipeg will provide efficient care while leaving time to discuss your animal's needs or answer any questions you have. Since our clinic has a diagnostic laboratory on-site, we can perform basic tests that will tell us much more about your pet's general wellness.
If your pet needs medication, diet food, or anything else, we can provide. Please note, our veterinary services must be paid for in full when they are rendered. We perform laser therapy which reduces painful inflammation associated with soft tissue injuries, arthritis, and more.
